Xi Jiang
El Rio Xi, literalmente Río Occidente, es el tributario más occidental e importante del Rio de las Perlas en el sur de China, con 2.197 Km. La mayoría de las partes del río son navegables. Sus aguas son usadas para el consumo humano de ciudades com Guangxi, Guangdong y Macao.

Conocido como Hongshui en su curso superior, Xi propiamente tal comienza en la parte oriental de la región autónoma de Guangxi y fluye hacia el este por la provincia de Guangdong. De unos 1.930 km (1.200 mi), no es tan largo como otros ríos importantes de China, pero es el segundo en cuanto a caudal después del Yangtzé (Chang Jiang). Discurre por el vasto delta del río Perla hasta desembocar en el mar de China meridional, al oeste de Hong Kong, cerca de Macao; la ciudad de Guangzhou (Cantón) está situada en el delta. La vía fluvial de mayor importancia comercial del sur de China, que conecta las ciudades del delta con el interior.
